History is Healing

Karen Ford

I am a communications professional and grant writer who has worked in educational and NGO contexts, and I am currently a Vising Scholar with the Center for Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University. My research and my writing project involves tracing the roots of my family in Vienna in the 1930’s interwar period, their lives during the onset of WWll, and their eventual escape via France. My wife Nicole has been a tremendous support and a guide for me every step of the way.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy doing Chopped-style cooking, working out in my boxing class, and spending time with my family including our rescue dog, Baxter and tuxedo cat, Milo.

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
